A trainer at Spaulding Excessive Faculty in Barre was injured after being struck within the again by an airsoft pellet Tuesday afternoon, in line with faculty and metropolis officers.
Police are investigating two first-year college students, ages 14 and 15, in reference to the incident — although it wasn’t clear as of Tuesday night which ones fired the gun, stated Brad Vail, the Barre Metropolis Police Division chief, in an e mail.
A publish on the college’s Fb web page states that the incident occurred as college students had been heading house for the day. Police responded to the college inside minutes, Barre Unified Union Faculty District Superintendent Chris Hennessey wrote within the publish.
The trainer — who was not recognized by officers — sustained a “superficial harm” and was hit with a tough plastic BB, in line with police and the college.
Vail stated police anticipate to file prison fees in reference to the incident as soon as their investigation is full.
